“OUTLIVE YOUR LIFE”! The first session of this excellent course took place on Tuesday evening and was everything it was claimed to be. It’s not too late to benefit from the rest of the course as we follow Max Lucado’s DVD series called “OUT LIVE YOUR LIFE”. It’s one of the best stories in the Bible - how less than 12 people changed the world! Be inspired by the stories of the Apostles as we follow them in the book of Acts and challenge ourselves to use our unique talents and gifts to make a difference in our community. The course is interactive and includes notes with daily studies to help you discover your uniqueness. The 3 remaining sessions are on Wednesdays at 7 pm at the church. Please come along and feel free to invite your friends.
REPORT-BACK FROM WOMEN’S RETREAT: A BIG thank you to everyone who prayed and interceded for the Women’s Retreat. 20 ladies attended, which created a very intimate group - with all the ladies having ample opportunity to connect with each other and create a special bond. God revealed Himself to the ladies in so many ways – through the beauty of His creation, the flowers chosen specially for each woman, the powerful messages shared, the beautiful praise and worship sessions, and even through a “talking donkey” as part of a drama presentation! On Sunday morning, members of the Mount Bashan Mission Station in Paarl joined the service which was a special treat and blessing to both parties. The theme of the Retreat - “The Joy of the Lord is my Strength” - flowed through the entire weekend as women were strengthened, experiencing the blessing of the Lord and the joy of His presence. Many thanks to all who contributed to the success of this wonderful weekend and special thanks to the organising team. A very BIG thank you to Liezel whom God gifted with the knowledge of which flower and scripture verse to give to which lady… Karen who used her God-given talent and spent hours lovingly painting flowers on wooden placemats for each participant… Bronwyn who was used powerfully by God to bring a strong message of encouragement, healing, delivery and gifting… Martin to whom God gave a new song specially for this occasion and Logan whose beautiful voice gave extra life to the praise and worship.. and finally - Sanet and Steffie whom God has blessed with a ministry of drama and dance and who used these gifts to His glory and honour. Thank you, one and all, for a beautiful, God-inspired weekend!
