TEA
DUTY: August – Gschwend’s Home Cell
Group.
WOMEN’S
RETREAT: You will have noticed that
there is a noticeable absence of ladies in church today. That’s
because many of our ladies are on the final day of their Women’s
Retreat at Carmel and having a WONDERFUL time! Thank you to
their families for holding the fort during their absence. Please
pray for the ladies to have a safe return journey and a happy reunion
with their families.
HOSPITAL
VISITING: Estelle Myburgh heads the
Hospital Visiting Team. She has asked for Afrikaans magazines to
pass on to patients at the Provincial Hospital. If you have any of
these magazines, please could you bring these to the church.
PRAYER

meeting, primarily to pray for our town, is held on the first
Wednesday of each month. The next meeting is this Wednesday, 5th
August. Anyone is welcome to take part and more information is
available from Johnny Vorster on 044-382 6511.

MEMORIAL
SERVICE: The Memorial Service for Paul
Capetenakis will be held in our church next Saturday at 11.00 am.
Please continue to pray for this family as they mourn the loss of
their beloved son and brother. Editor’s note: My sincere apologies
for giving an incorrect name last Sunday. The correct names are
Costa and Dawn
Capetenakis.
THANK
YOU… Once again, this congregation has
proved itself to be a caring and generous one! A few weeks ago, the
Knysna Christian School asked for an Art teacher and a piano!
Though both these requests seemed almost impossible, we know that
NOTHING is impossible for our God! Thank you to those who responded
as the Christian School was blessed with an Art Teacher AND a
piano!!! The school is now having a massive second-hand sale on the
29th August to
raise much needed funds. If you are thinking of cleaning out
cupboards (early spring-cleaning), anything you would like to donate
would be greatly appreciated - clothes, crockery, cutlery, linen,
tools, curtains, gardening goods, plants, furniture, appliances,
toys, books, ornaments - in fact anything that you no longer need.
Transport is available, so donations of BIG items would also be
welcomed! Please call Leigh Brown at the school on 044-382 0733 or
SMS Kirsty Hayward on 082 462 5274.
